Maryanne McDonald, MPH, is a seasoned grants professional and public health advocate. With deep experience in program development, grant-writing, grants management and evaluation, she commands broad technical knowledge to assure performance and compliance.  After more than two decades working as a leader in not-for-profit grants management in Chicago organizations, she founded her own consultancy. MMcD Development Consulting, in 2022.

In complement to her professional life, Maryanne has shown her commitment to human rights and social justice causes through lifelong activism. Beginning with volunteerism at the Marjorie Kovler Center for the Survivors of Torture through active participation in anti-war demonstrations, marches and forums advocating for women’s and immigrant rights, and local board service, Maryanne expresses her strong belief in activism and civic engagement as essential components of a healthy democracy.
