For 54 years Chicago Women’s History Center has been dedicated to elevating the contributions of ALL women to the development of the city of Chicago by researching, preserving, and sharing their stories. We are dedicated to empowering each other, enriching the historical record, and engaging future generations in the skills, tools, and knowledge to do this work.
At our 54th Anniversary celebration we will be acknowledging the work of activists, leaders, and historians in continuing this work to empower future generations. We wish to take this time to reflect on our work and celebrate this milestone with our community.
Our 54th Anniversary celebration will be held at Columbia College Film Row on Thursday, October 23rd. The evening includes a 30-minute Award Ceremony, a Silent Auction, Interactive performances by Catherine Schwalbe and queen of luxuria, live music with the Ella Grace Jazz Trio, hors d’oeuvre by Chef Patricia Pertusot and cocktails by mixologist Lizzy Benner of Steering Cocktails.
