Conference Submission
Chicago Women’s History Center, is partnering Community partners to co-create and build the program of our third Annual Conference. Confirmed community partners are Evanston History Center and WomenMade Gallery to organize the third Annual Conference on Chicago women’s history. We invite you to submit a proposal for our upcoming Conference in 2027 that addresses the theme: Chicago’s Sisterhood: Women in the Arts.
We welcome proposals that share the story of women artists, women’s art organizations, and galleries in the format of panel discussions, presentations, lectures and practice-based workshops. We wish to represent the broad diversity of artistic disciplines in our community inclusive of the Literary Arts, Visual Arts, and Performing Arts from 1867 to the present times.
Please include an abstract describing the focus of your research and the content of the presentation, workshop or panel. (The abstract will be published in the program booklet.) Please include a short biography (300 words max), a resume in word doc or pdf, and additional material like images or a poster (no more that two).
Please note the closing date for proposals is Monday September 14, 2026 at midnight CST.
