Chicago Women’s History Center is delighted to announce that we have selected four Writing Fellows that will begin in March 2026. We will announce them at the upcoming Conference on Saturday March 21 at Roosevelt University. The duration of Fellowships will begin in March 2026 and continue to September 2026 with texts completed by July 2026 to be published in a publication this Fall.

These Fellowships are in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Women Building Chicago 1790 - 1990. The Writing Fellows will expand the historical record of Chicago women from 1990 - 2025 and we have selected a diversity of writing forms from poetry, prose to historical narrative, narrative fiction, and historical fiction.
