Celebrating Gwendolyn Brooks

Annually Board Member and sculptor, Margot McMahon and Judith Singleton organize a day to celebrate Gwendolyn Brook's life and legacy as a poet and environmentalist. The event will take place this Saturday May 31 with a combined workshop taking care of tree saplings and a free poetry workshop. This will happen at Gwendolyn Brooks Park at 46th and Greenwood, Chicago Illinois from 11:00am - 2:00pm moving to Little Black Pearl’s Carver 47 Café for the poetry workshop with Highland Park Poet Laureate, Laura Joyce Hubbard.
