For 55 years, the Chicago Women's History Center has been dedicated to elevating the contributions of ALL women to the development of the city of Chicago — researching, preserving, and sharing their stories. We're committed to empowering one another, enriching the historical record, and equipping future generations with the skills, tools, and knowledge to carry this work forward.
Our commitment to documenting Chicago's women activists, leaders, and organizations continues, and we're excited to share some updates. Join us as we reflect on our past, present, and future with the community that has made this work possible.
Our 55th Anniversary celebration will be held at the Chicago History Museum in the Morse Genius Chicago Room on Saturday, October 17th from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm. The morning includes a silent auction, a video presentation, and an award ceremony honoring the recipients of the Ida B. Wells Activist Award, the Jean S. Hunt Historian Award, and the Maria Diaz Martinez Leadership Award.
Registration includes brunch. Please note that registration is non-refundable.
